At the Ballastone, intimate dining and privacy are our number one concern. Start the day off right with breakfast at a private table in the mansion or outside in the courtyard garden. Ballastone breakfast specialties include Peaches and Cream Stuffed French Toast, Low Country Benedict, and Made-to-Order Omelets.

Traditional Afternoon Tea features antique silver tea service, fine china, and lovely lavender-scented antique linens. Our chef prepares delicacies daily for tea service. Favorites include Jalapeño Egg Salad Sandwiches, Lemon Macaroons, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Macadamia Nut Brownies.

At 6:00 daily, join us in the Victorian Bar for a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail. Ask the bartender to make a Ballastone Specialty – a fruity Cosmopolitan, or spicy Bloody Mary. Each night hors d’oeuvres will be served on the bar for our guests’ enjoyment.

Free, limited off-street parking and elevator access to all floors ensures easy access with bags.  (We love our old mansion but know the difficulty with bags and stairs).
